Great vegetarian taco. Home made, fresh tortillas. Freshly fried chips with guacamole. Too much chicken in my chicken taco but I... saved the meat for later. Wish they provided water but they only sell bottled water. Read more

Great food. They don't serve drinking water if you dine-in. This is Mexican food. One of the most famous things about Mexican... food is how spicy it can be. So why not serve drinking water, especially for people that dine-in. Get out of town with thatstupid policy. Read more

These tacos are very good. I really enjoyed the al pastor with the sweet pineapple offsetting the heat and spices of the meats.... The carne asada was also very good. Definitely taste the char of the grill in the meat, but it was slightly chewy on thetooth. The staff was friendly but it took nearly 20 minutes to just get 2 tacos. Its worth a visit but there are many tacojoints that have tacos as tasty as L?Patron, this place was a bit out of my way from downtown area. Read more

I wish I had sorted the reviews by Newest prior to coming here. I've always loved this place, since they were located on... Diversey. While in the neighborhood, we stopped in to grab 4 tacos to go. The place was empty. Granted, it's been a while, butthis place used to have a long line on the weekends. My lucky day. Guess I'm getting my food promptly? Guess again. Despitebeing the only customers, we still had to wait nearly 30 minutes for 4 tacos--even with the place fully staffed. I let it slide,as I understand things can happen, take out orders might also have to be prepared, etc. I also noticed the prices seemed a bithigh, as it came out to over $20 just for 4 tacos (no rice or beans). I let that slide as well, as I understand that costs arerising, there's inflation, etc. Plus I don't mind paying a premium for good quality food. However, when we got home and openedthe bag, I thought they might've forgotten an item or 2. Nope. These tacos are just extremely tiny. They are literally smallerthan the palm of my hand. To add insult to injury, the meat was dry on all 4 of the options we had. Not sure if they wererunning low, but the tacos barely had any onions & cilantro on them either. The green salsa also tasted a bit off, kind of sweetlike watermelon. Regardless of price, this place is certainly losing it's touch. It's sad to see, as I remember bringing friendshere from out of town to try what I, at one point, considered to be the best tacos in Chicago. Unfortunately I think that willbe the last time I visit here. I just want to share my experience, and I in no way mean any disrespect to the business, so Ihope the owner doesn't give another sassy response where one is not needed (Yikes! ????). Read more
