If you black don?t go there. Went with my rican family and the ladies straight racist rude. Didn?t acknowledge me at all and... when I was looking at the menu she took it from me. Terrible attitudes and little did she know I was rican too ? Read more

Food was delicious, service was a little slow despite being the only table inside the restaurant at the time. Would definitely... return though and recommend this place overall! We had the tostones and rellenos.. so good. Jibaritos were also tasty Read more

As a latina, you want to support local businesses and restaurants in the Latino community. Sucks when the service is not the... greatest. Walked in and no one was available to greet or even show us to a table. We were just standing there trying to figureout the seating. A gentleman that worked the bar passed us by a few times and didn?t even acknowledge us. After a few minuteswe finally get have a seat. The young server gave us the menus and didn?t come back for about 10/15 minutes to bring water ortake our order. At this point bothered I got up and went to find a server. An older lady apologized and helped cud get started.Maybe 30mins later the first server comes and asks if someone took our order ???? THIRTY MINUTES later! The food: Appetizer wasdecent. Arroz con gandules was a little bland. The bistec encebollado, had a lot of fat . The white rice was still hard.Like, come on! How do you mess up white rice ??????????? In conclusion, not the greatest dining out experience. Read more

This restaurant is unlawful to disable people. We came today to visit, and they did not allow for dining because my Down... Syndrome daughter has a service dog. The host asked for a license for the service dog. I explained that they do not need alicense (I tried to educate them) and asked to talk to the manager. The manager came out and told me that the owner did notallow dogs to enter the restaurant. I explained to him the unlawfulness of his action, and he said the owner would kill him ifhe allowed us in, which the owner prohibited. They did not allow us to dine with our disabled daughter and her dog. Therestaurant violated the following Illinois law: The Service Animal Access Act and White Cane Law are state criminal laws thatguarantee the right of a person with a disability to be accompanied by a service animal in public.
