Tonight’s Dinner was had at La Luna, 1726 South Racine, Chicago. My Mom and I have been passing this place forever. Finally... made a reservation, they open at 4pm. Drinks: I had the Frozen Hibiscus (pineapple, hibiscus, La Luna Cupreata mezcal, lime),it was strong and delicious. Mom had the Oasis Verde (sotol, cucumber, green chartreuse and lime), OMG, it was bangin'! Food: Iordered the Lamb Chops (7 bones) accompanied with an apple and herb salad, it was beyond delicious. The chops were grilled atthe right temperature and just flawless. The salad had a gentle dressing on it which was very tasty. Mom ordered the Entrana(skirt steak), served with these crispy potatoes in some kind of spicy creamy sauce, lorrrd help me, they were amazing. TheGuacamole was to die for. The pomegranate and cotija cheese set it off. Ambience: Small yet comfortable, noise level was mediumbut you could hear your conversation. My one complaint would be their restroom could use a little care and upkeep. Willdefinitely be going back. Read more

Recently decided to try this place out and I do not regret. Although there was a wait the service and food made up for it. We... sat at the bar and got full view of the kitchen staff preparing each and every meal to perfection. We absolutely loved thewatermelon margaritas and highly recommend the guacamole as well as the quesabirria. I will definitely be back for more! Read more

After attending a very crowd Taco & Tamale Fest, I visited La Luna for the 1st time. We waiting for a table for about 10... minutes. Nice, airy restaurant with outdoor seating as well. Bar seating is available. The restaurant doesn’t lend to yourtraditional Mexican restaurant. The menu is not as lengthy but appropriate, authentic. I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos. Yum!Very meaty tacos (3). I ate one! The pickled onions add nice flavor. The watermelon margarita was tasty! My friend enjoyed thechicken tacos. I’d like to try elote and flautas on the next visit. They also have a coconut pineapple margarita that lookedamazing! Our waiter, Bryan, was friendly & attentive. Beware of the 3% COVID surcharge & Auto Gratis with a party of 5 ormore! Buen Provecho! Super good food and service, friendly waiters, nice atmosphere with good tunes playing! We went for dinner then the next day for... brunch! We had: - the salsa: tortilla chips are freshly made and the mango salsa delicious - the ceviche: big, fresh andtasty! - the fish tacos: an absolute tastebud pleasure - margarita cocktails: nice, the lime juice might not have been 100%freshly squeezed but still good - quesabirria: spot on. They accommodated for one of our quesabirria to be vegetarian (replacedthe beef by black beans) it was delicious! Would go back Read more
