Spending my birthday weekend in chicago and my husband made reservations here. 1st thing I like is that it was within close... walking distance to the Viceroy. Great atmosphere. I’ve been to LuxBar before and had a great experience. This time was a little less so. My girlfriend and I decided to get... starters, steak and cocktails. Everything was very good and tasty until we got to the steak. We both ordered medium rare butreceived it cooked nearly medium well. We sent the steak back and asked for it to be cooked medium rare instead but the serverreturned with the same steak and told us the person who cooked it thought it was fine, I thought this was unprofessional. Themanager, William, came around to check on us and noticed our table was wobbly and promptly came to the rescue to fix it. Helater came back to the table after the steak fiasco and took one steak off the bill. It was a nice gesture but not really whatwe were looking for. We went to LUXBAR for a rehearsal dinner. The service was fantastic. Every few minutes a server was offering an appetizer and... drinks. They were very attentive and the food was delicious. For the sit down part, the steak and cauliflower steak weredelicious. We were given 2 deserts! New to the area and was told to checkout Luxbar. Was able to make it in there the other night and I was not let down. This place... is well kept and the service was excellent. My server Leandra recommended the old fashioned while I perused the menu. The oldfashioned was great and I loved the huge ice cube. Didn’t know what I had a taste for and being in the service industry I knowthe staff knows what’s good so I asked what she recommended. She asked me a few questions and then said I should get the kaleand truffle pizza. It was excellent. Will definitely be coming back. Read more
