Too many mushrooms! TLDR: get the fried ravioli and not Pat?s Special Upon recommendation, we went to Pat?s Pizza for their... tavern style pizza; a thin crust pizza with green bell peppers, sausage, onions, and mushrooms, the pizza that real Chicagofolks eat. This is a very small place, only counter space to eat if you were to stay. The fried ravioli appetizer wasincredible! We devoured 6 pillowy, cheesy ravioli with marinara sauce, an Italian version of pico de gallo, and a squeeze oflemon. We ate the entire order on our walk back to the hostel! While we like each of the toppings that the special includes,the combination and amount made for a pretty wet pizza and the only flavor to come through was mushroom. Every bite wasmushroom. I started removing mushrooms from my slices just to see if I could taste something else. I would give place only 3stars if I wasn?t still thinking about going back to order more fried raviolis.
