Their coffee is great and they probably have one of the best lemon bars I?ve ever tried! I had to skip the bagel because I was... on my way to work and the wait was 30 min. They run from a small kitchen so understandably it takes awhile if they get a largeorder. Good local spot! Read more
On the hunt for a one of the best local coffee spots in Chicago, Perkolater is up there in the top spot. Let start with the... service. Super friendly staff with great recommendations. They seem to know the menu very well and recommended very goodbreakfast meals. The coffee is OUSTANDING. I ordered a regular coffee and a cold brew and were both excellent roasts. I alsotried the horchata latte and my GOODNESS, is it delicious. I don?t know what I?ll end up choosing next time. We ate onsite andthe vibe is super relaxed. Great art and the corner location brings in all the happy sunlight. Parking is the only downside butdefinitely available around the area. Worth the parking meter trip. Great coffee however that will never pardon the very large roach I saw crawling around behind the counter. The cashier tried to... kill it quietly but it was too big not to see. On another occasion I also saw flies in the pastry case and when I pointed themout the cashier simply apologized and left them in there. Disgusting!!! Read more
