The restaurant has traditional Russian decor, sedate with classical music with a subdued and relaxing atmosphere. It is a... perfect location for high tea or an afternoon lunch close to the Chicago Art Institute. Perfect for quiet conversation. Myhusband had the roast chicken Florentine and I had cream of mushroom soup both were delicious. Our server Catarina was verygood. Read more

A delightful meal and timely, discreet and kind service. We took a few more photos w/ permission from other restaurant guests. ... The two-person platters are a great way to experience multiple dishes and most people will find they will probably take homesome leftovers ... we also enjoyed some fun tastings of Georgian wine. While we went on the early side, it was sad that therestaurant was not as busy as I remembered it ... I am hoping that most patrons don't penalize the restaurant and its hardworking staff for all that is going on in the world right now. Read more

They serve full means here, don’t be misled by the name of the restaurant. I came in cold and hungry so I ordered the mushroom... soup and the duck. They waiter did tell me the duck would take 20 min so I should get a starter so I ordered the soup. The souptook 15 min and the duck came quickly afterwards. The soup was very good. Very good. Thank goodness I got the cup and not thebowl as it filled half my tummy space. The duck was nice. There were two duck legs not one. Mash, sauerkraut and omelette. Icould do without the omelette- didn’t add much to the dish. It’s a generous portion and I couldn’t finish it. They gave mea box without a bag so I had to walk back to the hotel holding on to the box. Read more

The food was awesome! I got the Queen's tea service and the sweet vodka flight. The vanilla vodka was my favorite. The pickled... herring is outstanding. Staff went above and beyond regarding service and presentation. I didn't have to ask for one singlething! They even offered to take photos of me. It was definitely a treat. I WILL be back with my two daughters soon. Read more

One of my favorite places to dine when in Chicago. The borcht is outstanding, and I would eat it every day if I could! ... Unsurprisingly, the tea is excellent (terrific variety!) and the menu, a beautiful collection of traditional culinary delightsfrom Eastern Europe/Central Asia that can rarely be found in the Midwest. Staff as delightful as the honey cake! Read more
