I spent 25 dollars on a 4&6 piece wings and I asked for them to be cooked hard. Well, when I went on my lunch break at work, I ... tried to eat it and it was cooked just the opposite of what I asked. Very disappointed. Been hearing about this place for years. The food is not bad. But the young lady that took my order did not... have a friendly attitude . I know it?s hard to find people that want to work these days but to hire someone who definitelydoesn?t want to be there and shows it to the customers is really a shame. I?m not writing this to get anyone in trouble buthopefully to make improvements, It?s just as easy to give good service as bad. The young lady who worked there seems to go outof her way to come across as rude and uninviting or maybe it was just natural. Definitely not how you would want your businessto be represented. I love to support what I assume is a black owned business.. I just hope they step up their game with thecustomer service. My experience with Uncle Remus SFC ON 737 E 47 th St. was a nightmare. I live in Oak Lawn,, Il. and drove down to the Restaurant... for them to serve me refried chicken, reason is; the chicken meat was hard and the skin was not crispy but hard. I called up tospeak with a Manager to let him know how dissatisfied I was and he did not come to the phone, I hung up and called back againbefore he answered my call. He said he was not Mr. Remus but one of the Managers. I explained how bad the chicken was and flatout told me their chicken is always fresh and they don?t refry the chicken and said it very adamant. I told him I know thedifference when I taste fresh chicken and refried chicken and they should not be serving refried chicken because the chickenprices are very expensive for them to give the customer old chicken and he got irate with me and hung up on me while I wastalking. Before he hung up on me, he belligerently told me to give a review. I told him, no I will not give a review, I?ll justmake sure not to patronize him again, but after he hung up on me, I said to myself, I will write a review. Very bad experienceat this location. Mr. Remus, I hope your Managers are not being trained to act and talk like the Manager I had to speak with on08/20/2022 around 9:10pm. Disappointed, if you?ve ever had the REAL Uncle Remus then you know this is not how it?s supposed to taste. The chicken was... fried real really hard, taste like they refried it all over again. The skin was not good, I had to peel it off completely. Thesauce doesn?t taste like original Remus sauce either. Fries were ok. I ate the food only because I had spent soo much but Iwould never go back to this location. I actually had 2 orders and gave the other order away to a homeless person. Read more
