The service was friendly but seemed under staffed and was slow as result. The brisket had good flavor and was tender. The ribs... were cooked well but lacked smoke flavor. The fried pickles were excellent. Overall I think the quality of the BBQ suffersfrom an expanded menu. I'd give this BBQ a 5 of 10 which would make it excellent in any other state. But this is Texas and Ineed to taste that smoke. Read more
Stopped in on my road trip to New Mexico, wanting to get some last second Texas BBQ. The brisket was somewhat dry, needed the... bbq sauce or it would have been hard to choke down. No pink edge at all, it was grey all the way to the bark. The sausage wasgood, didn?t need the sauce for that. Sides were lacking very much. Green beans were eh and the mashed potatoes were horrible.Instant mashed potatoes that tasted like wet sawdust and no amount of salt could fix it. The banana pudding was so so. My husband enjoyed a 2 meat dinner of their brisket and sausage, with fried orka - the brisket was very tender and juicy! I had... the loaded baked potato which was good sized, I took brisket (pulled pork was also offered) and had it put on the side. It wasdelicious!! Quick service. Very clean. Myself and a friend stopped in to have dinner and it was our first time. We both ordered the ?sampler? which is 1 slice of... brisket, 1 rib, a small scoop of pulled pork, and a small piece of smoked sausage. The sides I ordered were fried okra withtater tots. Our food was blah! The brisket and pulled pork were barely warm and had no flavor. The sausage was good but honestlywho can screw that up. The rib however was decent. The sides were good but again who can screw that up. We stopped here becausewe wanted good barbecue and unfortunately we did not get it. Won?t be eating here again. Read more
