Ahan Lao is a fantastic restaurant. I have been twice in about six weeks because the food is delicious and well priced. My... family?s favorites are the Thai papaya salad, the Lao beef jerky (which you have to try!) and the Nam Khao. The service is quickand friendly when dining in and ordering take out during the afternoon. Please give this place a try! You won?t regret it :) Read more
This place is nice! I like the decorations. The food is pretty good too and yes, it?s a little hole in the wall but that?s okay... :) the only thing I would say is that the servings were kinda small last time we ordered but still good! Just tried this place for the first time as I am always trying to find good Thai food in the Chula Vista area. Having been to... Thailand, the family and I agree this is the best we have found in the past three years. We wanted to order the Fresh SpringRolls but they were out. We ordered the Fried Spring Rolls, Shrimp Coconut soup, Chicken Pad Thai, Beef salad, Hot Basil withChicken. Everything was tasty but they did not put chili in my dish (I enjoy the heat). All other dishes were ordered with nospice for my other family members. They also gave me two steamed rice rather than one fried and one steamed as ordered. Theseare minor issues. The quality of the food was very good and the food was prepared well. If you want good Thai, I stronglyrecommend this place. Seems to be mom and pops type place and the quality of the food shows they care about what they aredoing. I paid with a debit card no problem. The gentlman was very polite. We will be back!
