My mother and I almost always find a time to have lunch here when we're both in town. Amazing atmosphere, great food, and... pleasant staff. The outside is lovely, and they have a nice fountain there. The food is a little on the pricey side, but forabout $10-$12, I got enough salad for almost two people! As someone spending my first pride month publicly out, it was also veryreassuring to hear their support for our community. There were good aspects, such as the bread and dip that come with the meal. The bread was so soft and warm. I was no impressed... with the gyro. The lamb wasn't very hot and I had to drench it in sauce. Our waitress was very nice however. I saw a plate ofanother patron and her food looked very appetizing. I love this location. They do have the most delicious Mediterranean dishes. the atmosphere is very cozy and the team is... outstanding. I have been to many Mediterranean restaurants in DC, New York, Chicago but Leyla is the best. Make sure to ordertheir appetizers it is very delicious and freshly made. Absolutely amazing food! We went as a family and started with an array of dips, warm pita and bread. It was fantastic. We then... moved on to the most delicious shared meat platter and baked eggplant. I could eat the baked eggplant every day! The meats wereflavorful and plentiful. We ended with trying each of the desserts. The pudding was a great mix of almond, cinnamon and vanilla.The baklava was warm and dripping in honey. A true treat. Do not skip this gem! Read more
