I had the Mesquite Grilled Grouper Sandwich, Beer Battered Onion Rings and the Lobster Bisque. I also tried the Sweet Potato... Fries. I tried the Lobster Bisque and thought it was good but it had a little bit to much tomato flavor for me. The MesquiteGrilled Grouper was excellent. It was seasoned, grilled and presented perfectly. I had it in the sandwich but wished I had justordered it without the fixings. The rye bread, red onions, lettuce and tomato didn't add flavor to the fish. I think that forme, it took away from the experience. The Sweet Potato Fries were very good. I think I detected a hint of smoke in the flavorand that's always a plus for me. I think my favorite part of this meal was the Beer Battered Onion Rings. The onion was sweetand the flavor of the Beer Batter coating was amazing. These onion rings are without a doubt the best I've ever had. I'll begetting them again. Over all I liked this meal and would get it again. Read more

my .2¢ worth of what I thought of Pelican's Reef. 0/10 would not recommend EVER! The place looked like it hadn't been updated... since the 80's The menu prices definitely does not reflect the decor, these were the crab cakes, that were 3 for $22. Thequarter is there to show size. They also tasted old, and we're definitely overcooked (probably to try to hide the old taste) andthey were without a doubt frozen at some point. I'll also add, they were served with tarter sauce (who does that?!?) The lobsterbisque, was without a doubt from a can and was super watery. Everything about this place (except the onion rings) was a joke.Salad came out almost wilted already, and the ranch was like water as well. The only redeeming think about the entire trip was Igot to spend some time with my mother, who as a former chef as well, completely agreed, that the place was horrible. The crabmeatballs aka crab cakes were thrown away once I got home, I only took them home so I could take a photo of them. Read more

We've only been here once before years ago, but enjoyed it and wanted to come back for our anniversary. The service was great... and very friendly. The clam chowder was great, but the shrimp and onion rings were a little overcooked. Sweet potato fries wasmy first choice, but they were out, so onion rings it was. Dessert was very good. Read more
