Basement speakeasy was overly bright for the portrayed image trying to achieve. Not really a dinner spot. Nouveau appetizers at... resort prices. The staff actually wear makeup so that was refreshing. Read more
The bartenders were excellent. Cool atmosphere! Drinks were crafted with excellence! I decided to get a Smoked Old Fashion on... round two. Decided to have Four Roses Single barrel over Elijah Graig Bourbon. The sign behind the bar said for a "little more" or something to that directive on selecting a bourbon of your choice. Smoked old fashion Elijah Craig $14, Smoked old fashionwith Four Roses single barrel + $18...hmmm...a $32 Smoked Old Fashion? I Drink Four ????'s as my go too Bourbon. Buy it all dayfor $45 off the shelf. An $18 upcharge is a bit excessive in my opinion. Looks like Trap Door is a one and done destination. Read more
Great selection of hard to find bourbons! Good prices and a very delicious/well crafted food menu! The whole menu is great... honestly you can't miss with anything! What really stood out was the service and feeling of being the only person in the place.The manager Sarah and everyone were so nice and made the experience perfect here. An absolute hidden gem in Clare! Huge selection of amazing craft cocktails. Their old fashioned is one of the best I've ever... had. I'm challenging myself to try at least 2 new cocktails a month here. Definitely a must-try in the Central Michigan area. Read more
