I went for afternoon tea with some friends. The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was delicious. I found the... desserts to be quite dense and rich. I may have liked a lighter option personally but everything tasted great despite therichness of it. The grounds and the building are very gorgeous and I loved the towels in the bathroom, eco-friendly and fancy. Iwould definitely come back here. Read more

Change of ownership and menu very apparent. Went for our anniversary and disappointed in the change. It?s the little things... missing right from check in. No mention about breakfast or checkout time. No welcome, have you been here before or mention ofanniversary which I put on the online registration. Dinner not included this time so we went out. Breakfast was over cookedquiche with no idea what was in it and Canadian bacon slightly warmed. Thought getaway package included dessert sampler, wineand dessert cocktail. We got nothing. No breakfast muffins or danish either. Quite disappointed and I don?t think we?ll be back. The atmosphere is just different with new owners and good that was absolutely amazing before is not good. Grounds in back were amess and not pleasant to look at either. Read more

I come from Ohio to Buffalo once a year for a reunion and usually we stay in a hotel. We heard about the Asa Ransom House last... year when searching for venues for High Tea. We learned it was a B&B and decided to stay. I am so pleased with this experience. We checked in Friday night and stayed for two nights. Bradley was so gracious and thoughtful. We were offered drinking water forour room upon arrival which was much needed after our trip in. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The attention to detail in allaspects was impeccable. Our room had a balcony which was a wonderful touch and I found myself sitting outside as much as Icould. The small details were so refined and appropriate including the beautiful drapes, the lotion dispenser and towel warmerin the bathroom. On Saturday we could have breakfast and we had previously reserved a spot for High Tea. The breakfast wasrefined and elegant. The dining room is beautiful. Again, the small touches were impressive. First when being served the serverprovided us a verbal explanation of the food we would be eating. The fresh-baked bran muffin was so tasty. The High Tea servicewas to die for. It may seem costly to someone who isn't familiar with tea service however the price was comparable to what I hadbefore and I felt it was an appropriate price. The amount of food provided was sufficient and everything was so good. Again, wewere given verbal explanation of the high tea service. I had expected the high tea to be served with loose-leaf instead ofbagged tea and at first I was disappointed. However, after sampling the teas provided I found that the brand of bagged tea wasdelicious and of a high quality. After breakfast we had a housekeeper come to check on us and see if we needed anything, including refreshing our linens. We politely declined however she did offer to refresh our water. They provided us our own largeglass bottle of water, and a bucket for ice as well as cups. Sunday we could stay for breakfast a Read more

We went here today for afternoon tea, everything was delicious and the staff was very, very friendly. It doesn?t look like a lot... of food, but it was more than plenty for two of us. Everything is homemade. My favorites were the blueberry scones and theraspberry macaron. The little sandwich with the cucumbers on top was amazing. Beautiful place too! Read more
