Today my daughter and I stopped by Barb's Pasties & Pizza to 'try' her pasties. My husband and I just shared the 'one' for... dinner and we both loved it! Next time we won't be sharing, lol. The flavor, texture and quality of beef was excellent, notone piece of fat to pick out! My daughter and I also each bought the carrots cake to 'sample'..truly the best carrot cake Ihave ever had! Lots of creamy icing and not drowned in cinnamon like so many are. Next time I am buying the whole cake, notjust the slice ????! So happy we stopped! Read more
I love pasties, and am so glad this place exists so I don't need to drive to Cadillac or the UP to get my fill. The beef has... rutabega, which is essential, though I do wish there was just a bit more spice to the meat. We stopped in today for the very first time, and we will definitely be going back! We got beef pasties and an order of... mostaccioli. The pasties were the best I have ever had, and the pasta (though we were too full for more than a taste after weate pasties the size of our heads) is rich and delicious. Even a picky toddler agrees that Barb's is the best place to eat inthe area, not to mention that they have the kindest staff! We can't wait to go back to try the pizza, stuffed cabbage, and thatmesmerizing carrot cake! Read more
