Mocks is a small and super fun coffee shop located in a buulding that has been around since the 1800's! It is like a museum... inside with so much to see. You will be excited to learn that the pastries are made fresh daily, by the owner, and the donutsare also freshly made daily at a store right down the street. They also offer breakfast items, abd the owners roast their owncoffee, which is becoming a lost art. Stopped to get a latte and a smoothie .... the "smoothie" was poured from a container purchased like at a Wal-Mart and then... blended with ice? That's NOT a smoothie and we canceled that order when we saw what was going on. You know that 3am, bottom ofthe pot coffee you get at a gas station in the middle of nowhere? That was the quality of latte I got. I mean literally. Thatthis place has such high reviews baffles me. Mock's IS a hidden gem, as previous reviewers have noted. Their excellent coffee, combined expertly in a hot Breve Latte, was... one of the tastiest I've ever had. Perfect creme on top, too. I sampled a blueberry muffin which was soft and delicate withexcellent taste and blueberry count. Next visit to Clayton and I'll go for a burro or breakfast sandwich. I know I'll besatisfied.....
