What a wonderful historical space! The details and furnishings match the turn of the century architecture. The staff was... personable and felt like family! Live music in the saloon while we ate dinner! Read more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Eklund on our way to Colorado. The room was clean, the mattress was not great. I loved... the jacuzzi tub, although a little weird to get in the shower, if you had a disability you might not be able to step over tub touse shower. We had a hard time getting someone on the phone to check us in when we arrived. The restaraunt food was not good..Iordered a chicken sandwich, it tasted like a frozen Tyson patty. The breakfast was sparse. Do not think I would stay again. Read more

Exceeded my expectations! Well kept, clean rooms, good shower pressure, super comfy bed & sheets. The only suggestion I have is... to have a full length mirror or even just a second mirror in the room. The history in this place is incredible and the bartendermakes a killer Chilton. Oh, they also have vegetarian green and red chili as well as vegetarian appetizers and entrées. Highlysuggest staying here???????? Read more

Wonderful hotel. It is a historic hotel, so don't expect perfection. The floors creek, the walls are thin, and, being located... adjacent to a highway intersection and train tracks, you are not well insulated from their sounds. BUT, for me, they add to theexperience. Our room (207) was full of modern amenities, and everything worked as it was supposed to. However, there is nofridge, no coffee maker, no microwave, and the TV was tiny. There is a balcony shared by the 4 front, 2nd level rooms, which wasgreat except that the curtains didn't fully block anyone from seeing inside or room. I was instructed by the manager not tosmoke "anything" on the balcony. No doubt in part because there is a cannabis dispensary 2 doors down. No problem, they have alovely outdoor smoking area. There is a restaurant and a historic saloon on premises, but are only open on Friday and Saturday. They serve an enhanced continental breakfast to hotel guests every day, but the only low-carb thing available is a crustlessquiche that is made to order. The breakfast room attendant is very knowledgeable about the history, professional, however, shecould use some people skills. There is no coffee maker in the rooms, so we toddled down to the breakfast room with our cupswhere we were jumped on and scolded for bringing or own cups, and then treated like riff-raff. The attendant demanding to knowour room number. The breakfast was unappealing, so we just left and got our breakfast on the road. Overall, we would definitelystay here again. Read more

Really cute historic hotel for a great price. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel keeper was exceedingly kind and... friendly. The breakfast was good, though keep in mind everything was pre-made and you pick what you want and heat it up in themicrowave; excellent coffee. Read more
