I eat here every once in a while and it seems to be different every time, it was not busy but took way to long to get food. The... waiter and waitress were very friendly. The food was ok, had the chicken fried steak. Read more
This local mainstay serves a big function in this little town. With so few places to enjoy a meal out, Main Street fills a big... need in a wonderful way. Food was very late. We were asked to move to another location in the restaurant so a larger party could sit there. That waitress... promptly took their order while we waited on the other side by the kitchen for someone to take our order. Old waitress walkedout with their food and seemed quite smitten with herself for getting the food to her customers. The 2 other waitresses on ourside were loafers. Home fries are from freezer and dry. Toast was cold and dry. Got new toast barely brown. Never going back.Buy real potatoes and cook them! Read more
Absolutely horrible!! We went because we came up to visit clearlake. This was amazing place to eat a few years ago it's type of... a landmark, it's been here for decades. I left hungry, because I couldn't stand the food. Chicken fried steak was a burnt mess,I've never sent back a salad in my life but I did this time! It's absolutely crazy how the people that currently owned aretrying to hold on when they should just shut the doors. There were three waitresses and we were literally the only patrons inthe restaurant. It should of been a very busy time. I understand why it wasn't busy now. And turns out as we went somewhereelse, someone who has lived here for 50 years explained to us about how great this place once was. When it changed owners a fewyears ago it's like they're hanging onto a sinking ship, and you can tell. Save your money, frustration in time and just findanother place! Read more
