Remember that old Wendy's commercial "Where's the beef?"? It definitely applies here. However, they still have the best... chocolate milk shake in town. And their prices are actually reasonable. Outstanding service. Read more
I can't believe what has happened to this American icon. You can only order through the kiosk, only 1 of the 4 take cash & if... you have a question or there is a request you have that is not in the system, you have to chase down an employee to ask. Pricesare way up for what you get & they don't even do breakfast any more. They also stopped making the milkshakes from scratch, it'snow all in a mix. I'm really disappointed. Every time I go to this specific Steak and Shake, they take more than 15 minutes to make a burger and a small fries. Today, I... told them I was in a rush and that I had to catch a bus. The front counter lady said, "sure, we'll get you out in a jif." 13minutes later, I still hadn't received my burger and small fries. So I walked out and told them to forget it. Now they have my$4.28, I have no food and I had to chase my bus. Thanks for yet another terrible experience. Read more
We decided on dinner at Steak 'n Shake for dinner tonight. My wife and I haven't eaten there since before the whole covid thing.... As usual everything was very delicious. I had the double steak burger with bacon and she had a triple steak burger. The cup ofchili I had was also delicious. The problem is with their whole new ordering system. They have touch screens at the counter thatyou order from. There's a screen that pops up at the end of your order and asks how much you would like to tip. We both used towork in the restaurant industry so usually leave a pretty decent tip. I found it odd that I had to order the food myself.Imagine my surprise when they called my wife's name over the intercom system and said that our shakes were ready. You have towalk up and get your food at the counter now. When our meal was ready, they also called the name and we had the schlepeverything back to the table ourselves. They really have balls asking for a tip when no one does anything except cook and placefood on trays. It's a real joy to bus your own tables after you're done with your meal. We will definitely go back but I'm goingto think twice about leaving a tip. Read more

Great menu's, now you can order at an easy to use kiosk, where orders are made fast. This happens to be My moms favorite place.... The orders are just The right helpings we never leave hungry and all this for under twenty dollars. We are no always treatedlike family so I can see why, even with the easy to use kiscoks they remain one of my moms favorite place to eat. There's notenough space to get into the ice cream Sundays and shakes but I have it on good account it's also a great variety and size.
