Just came from the Varsity Club-another good meal and enjoyable time. I really like going here. I've never been disappointed in... the food. I think they have the best burgers in town. I usually have their "Red Sox" only I get broccoli on the side instead offries. Everything is fresh. The kaiser roll and broccoli is good and the patty itself is done right to my liking. The kitchen isspot on. The VC has a well stocked bar. I actually go here for the amber Bock on tap. The place is dated but comfortable. It'svery family oriented. The wait staff is wonderful and really makes the place. If I go when it's not busy during the day, I'llsit at the bar. In the evening I've had a number of staff serve me. Amber is personable and a real professional. She remembersme and what I like to order. BTW- I've read some negative comments about Karen (I think). They are not true. She has waited onme and was wonderful. The staff works hard doing a stressful job. Thinking about it this is my favorite place. It's relaxing,the fare is satisfying and the wait staff is welcoming. Been to this establishment a few times and unfortunately when a bar tender named Jessica works. Her demeanor was strange so just... thought she was having an off day. HOWEVER I WAS WRONG, SHE HAS THE WORST ATTITUDE IMAGINABLE, THEN COMPLAINS ABOUT CUSTOMERS. Iwas polite and asked how long she had worked here and said 16 years and is the manager etc. What an arrogant person who needs tomove on . Appears she feels entitled to her self righteousness. Okay then in Pinellas county for almost 20 years and driven by this place a lot and first time in, it's really great very clean,... arcade in the back so the kids are kind of locked in, cheese curds which I think is funny to say we're really good.
