I’d come back here but just for the fries. The grilled mahi did not taste fresh. The water view was nice but the fans did... nothing to help with the Florida heat. Read more
A group of us were searching for an eatery that would be filling, quick to serve, because we were on a tight schedule, and... reasonable price. We found all that at Backwaters Restaurant. They were very accommodating for a large party at the last minute,being able to sit us all together. I think our server may have been a bit overwhelmed but she persevered and tried not to let ussee her sweat. I think the area of making sure we had all we needed and refilling drink orders was missed, but we just askedother servers going through and they were accommodating. Friendly staff, sat at the bar had a couple drinks. Ordered French onion soup, it was ok, not alot of flavor but not bad. Had... the wedge salad , that was delicious. Great place to have a drink, but I ordered a dirty Martini, didnt get a full glass ofvodka, not worth 15.00 and charged me .75 cents for blue cheese olives..crazy! I understand you pay for location..but!! I'll bemore selective with my choices next time!. Read more

Backwaters has been our go to lunch and dinner restaurant for the past 2 years. Due to Hurricane Ian, our daughters wedding and... reception venue was cancelled at the last minute. The owners and staff at Backwaters offered to host a reception with littletime to prepare and they did an incredible job. George, Constantinos, Bill, Jacqueline, Jason, Shaina, Dana, Jackie and theentire kitchen crew created an amazing experience. Hats off to all who were involved, Thank you!! Read more
