My friends and I had lunch outside at this establishment today. For a Sunday, it was very busy. The food was good, but I... really expected a larger variety in their menu. We ate outside and seeing the various boats go by was interesting. My friendsand I wanted to try something different and in another part of town, instead of going to our usual restaurants on the Eastsideof Cleveland. Merwin's Wharf is an excellent Restaurant located right on the Cuyahoga River. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. The food is... wonderful and the service is great. There is plenty of seating inside and a gorgeous and large outdoor patio. This restaurant islocated in a park owned by the Metroparks, so it is meticulously maintained. Bravo! Read more
A beautiful spot! We enjoyed happy hour from 4 to 8 on tuesday, The 8 items or so on the happy hour menu were just the right... variety, and we all enjoyed them. We really want to LOVE Merlin?s Wharf. Love the location, the food is a hit or miss it seems like. Cocktails are fairly good.... Prices are good ! Big Pretzel is BIG and yummy. (My favorite everywhere) Weird to make a reservation for a warm Friday (earlyevening) and yet nobody?s there to serve you. The restaurant was pretty empty inside and out the full time we were there. Wewere greeted by a very nice gentleman and seated but it went downhill from there. Our waitress ( 35 min. wait to even take adrink order) was extremely rude and snapped at us when my husband asked about a particular beer. She definitely realized how sheacted . We are huge local restaurant supporters, we completely understand the industries issues but sometimes you can?t hidethat you just don?t have it. We will try, yet again in the summer next year.
