This is my favorite soul food spot! Ribs always tender, best sauce in town, even the sides are good which is rare lol. I'm sad... they're not open right now ???? Read more
The food and the service was excellent. We were greeted as sone as we walked in. We were given samples of different side dishes.... They also have TV?s at every table for you to watch while you wait for your food and while you are eating. The food wasdelicious and even though the food was a little high it is definitely worth it. Southern Cafe East. (Kinsman 10/5/21) The best soul food restaurant in Cleveland. From the food and to the service. I went to... the Kinsman location. The place is bigger that I thought. I went with a part of 7. For my mom's 88th. We were greeted withrespect and kindness. They were profession but also themselves. The vibe was a old school feel, and I Iike that. It's make theplace seem more welcoming. I had the Catfish, Mac & Cheese with Bake beans dinner. For my Catfish I went for one fried and theother blackened. The fried catfish was great, crispy, juicy, and flavorful . The blacken fish was coo. I do wish that they hadblackened the fish more. The beans was nice and not too sweet. Finally the Mac and cheese was like a grandma cooked it. Crispyand brown on the top and oozing with cheese but still together. I paid for four people and it was under $50. Overall I wouldgive to place a 4.78657 out of 5. And Yes, I will be back and I recommend this place for anyone who want soul food with a sideof kindness. Read more
