Me and my family had an AMAZING time here, beautiful scenery, very peaceful, we really enjoyed our stay. The reason for the not... 5 stars is the cabin seemed like it was not cleaned good, we had to clean and sweep as soon as we got there..we stayed in theTrinity btw and cobwebs everywhere, I know we are in the woods but I would expect who ever cleans after each stay would hoseoff all swings and chairs and benches from cobwebs... the Friday seafood buffet was all out of boiled shrimp and we still had topay full price, waitress was awesome for Friday dinner and Sunday brunch. I would definitely return to the retreat in thefuture. Read more

The experience wasn't great at all. From the front desk to the folks that worked the ground. The desk clerk told us that they... gave out military discount? My nephew showed his military ID card and she rejected it and told him that had to be the person whomade the contract event though he was one of the person staying in that cabin. It was an insult to my nephew. The cabin was notclean and the bed spread was rip in certain places and looked as if it wasn't clean. The workers cut of the lights in the midstof our function. Leaving us in darkness. That experience was awful. They told us they would pick us up to bring us to breakfastbut we have to walk back. Not a great experience At all! Read more

First class pool, lots of fun outdoor activities and wildlife. Each cabin needs some work to be worth the overnight rates... though. AC only works in some of the cabins, some appliances didn't work or were too dirty to use. Lots of extras but some workneeded out here. Read more

It's not the HERB farm we once knew. It's definitely a retreat place now deep in East Texas. We really missed seeing the old... place and the beloved herb shop we once knew. It was no where to be found. As far as dinner, the Salmon dish was very good andgluten free but it would have been helpful to have gluten free crackers to go with the preserves. Also, at those prices, howcould you possibly not have half and half for the coffee or tea? The quiet of the east Texas woods and nature filled swampsremains the same. Read more
