We started going to the Clifton bagel shop after the one in greenbrier closed. We've been several times and each time there... has been an issue with the order. They never write anything down even when I insist! As a result, there's always a mistakewith the order. They have several high school kids working there at the same time, and there's no attempt at quality control. Its frustrating having to empty everything out of your bag in order to check it before leaving the store. The sandwiches arealways good once you get the right order. Please save everyone the frustration and write the orders down!!! Read more
We've been coming here for a long time. I wasn't sure what the prior reviewer was referring to with rude customer service. But I... experienced that today. They have a new person, I don't recognize her so I assume she's fairly new. Anyway, I asked for abaker's dozen and picked a variety of flavors. I asked for the onion to be bagged separately from the cinnamon. Then the plainseparate. Is that unreasonable? Because the lady got irritated with me. I tried explaining that I didn't want all those flavorscombined, especially onion with cinnamon. Then I saw she gave me a dozen instead of thirteen. She insisted she gave me the rightamount. So when I went to the Korean lady at the cash register, I let her know that I was short a bagel. She asked the new ladyand again insisted I had the correct amount. So I took them all out and counted them out. Twelve. Then they finally gave me thatthirteenth bagel. I hope they can find some good help, I don't know what's going on these days. Read more

Honestly, best bagels in NoVa. Everything else I've tried is not nearly chewy enough. Other places are far far far too bread-y... to be a true bagel. Manhattan bagel gets it right. Not as good as something you'd get in NYC or on LI, but definitely the bestyou can get in this area and worth eating.
