We traveled from out of town for our anniversary to eat at Jack Mason's, a place we have eaten at many times and thoroughly... enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We arrived at 530pm and put our name on the list for a table. The issue was we watched manypeople with 3 or 4 people get seated before our party of two. We were told we would only be seated at a table for 2, though wewere there around an hour. After an hour we left. It was very disappointing and we have NEVER experienced such unfair seatingpractices. Will not be returning again. I understand not seating 2 people at a large table for 6, but repeatedly seating 3 or 4over a couple was grossly unfair. Read more
I have to say this place was great. I got the reuben and it had a nice sweet flavor to it. Will definitely come back!
We were traveling through on Sunday July 3rd. The place has a great vibe and was steadily busy. We got lucky enough to get a... seat. Irish nachos were great and layered with all the goodies and nice big pieces of bacon, not just the bits. The owner evengreeted us at one point and was super nice. By the time the food came out I was pretty full but my Ruben was fantastic andstuffed with all the good things!! My wife had the quesadilla with chicken which I forgot to get a picture of but could realistmove from the appetizer menu to the entree. Great service, great atmosphere, great value! WOW, what an amazing evening at Jack Mason's! I was in Clifton Forge for Thanksgiving 2022 and found the ?ground zero? place to... be. First, the joint was mobbed with locals... and as an outsider, it was gratifying to find such a friendly crowd, along withan incredibly attentive staff. The drinks were appreciably stiff, the food marvelous (chicken quesadillas w/a side of HOT fries)and best of all, the owners, ANN & MICHAEL, treated me as if we've known each other for decades.
