I attempted to treat my friend to lunch after a few hours of area shopping. We chose this bakery and I was not impressed, one... bit. I was embarrassed my friend's tuna ,lemon, caper salad on a bed of salad greens went untouched. When I questioned myfriend, who is easygoing and not at all finicky, she said it was bland and very dry. I ordered the shrimp salad sandwich whichwas also bland and the side of coleslaw was blah too. I had to add salt and look around for a salt shaker (I was pointed to atable when requesting salt). I had the opposite issue with the shrimp salad being dry, my salad was so wet (the bottom half ofthe sandwich bread was like a kitchen sponge)... I could not pic up the sandwich because is was all soggy and very messy. I useda fork to eat the shrimp. Our order consisted of: (1) tuna, lemon caper salad on a bed of salad greens (1) shrimp saladsandwich (2) bottles of water (1) baguette to go (had a piece with my dinner - not the best baguette. Panera's is better. $40! Iwas overcharged somewhere. I would like the proprietor to look into this. I will call them tomorrow since they are closed today. Read more

The word ?croissants? is not in English but in France? I went to this bakery around 5 pm a year ago. How could I remember the... day a year ago? Because I cannot forget it. There were a few cakes and cookies in the refrigerators. I asked the staff, chattingwithout greeting, ?do you have croissants or pastries? ?. The two of women laughter at me, and ? what? We don't have those.? ? Isaw you makes croissants on the Google.? They said? No. What are you talking about?? I repeated ?croassants, croessints orcroissants? ? just in case they could get it. They didn't respond any more and kept chatting. I am not a native English speaker. My English was not bad. The word ?croissants? is not in English but in France. However, even if my pronunciation was wrong, INTHE BAKERY, croissants, croessints or croissants, and pastatirs or pastrees? Was that difficult to understand what I said? Itold this story to my friends, and the bakery staff was rude to me. I often go to this area for many good stores andrestaurants. But I still skip over to this bakery where the workers made grimaces. Went there on 6/22/22 to inquire about ordering some treats for my guests for Saturday, 6/25/22. Had high hopes for this place... but woman at the counter was just angry. She was straight nasty. Asked about possibly having something prepared for Saturday, she raises her arms and rudely tells me ?yeah it?s too late for that.? I get it, too late, but be pleasant about it. Then Iasked about their allergies and she shrugs and goes ?I don?t know what you?re talking about.? Super rude. I walked in therefeeling good but then immediately treated like garbage. Definitely never walking in that place again. I live in town and willrather drive 10 mins to Flemington or Lebanon. Also, they?re over priced. Read more
