We were given menus that were covered in salsa. The server didn't seem to care. The salsa was very thick which kinda seemed like... a blend of canned and fresh ingredients. I got the tacos al carbon. The spring onion was so chewy that you had to take it out.It was also greasy. The flavors were not there and it was very disappointing. The service was fast but no one checked in, askedabout refills. we went back for a 2nd time to this restaurant and it did NOT DISAPPOINT. We had scrumptious luxurious and fresh guacamole... tableside, entree's taco and enchilada for my partner & 2 Salty Margarita's each. For Dessert I had the flan & she had the tresletches cake - amazing! Prices were fine and we had a lot of fun talking to our waiter who is also from NYC now an expat livingin Clinton. Bueno! Best Mexican Grill Restaurant this side of the border!!! We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary and decided to eat at El... Patron on Monday afternoon on September 27 2021. We had tableside Guacamole made for us by our cute waitress and had thesedishes there were exquisitely prepared. Tasty and the plating was fantastic. The bartender prepared our margarita's in festivebowl like cups that were not that strong but suited the meals well. The desserts we took home were tres leches cake (to die for)and FLAN - which was the best Flan we have ever eaten. We are planning to take out next time but until then we are eating leftovers. We loved it. The wait staff is excellent and excited about working their jobs. The entire restaurant has a festive lookand hand painted pictures on tables, backs of booths and chairs. We loved it!
