With the entrance tucked into a corner and the signage on the street not too bright, it is easy to miss this restaurant. But... when you get there the bright colored frontage captures your attention. Supposed to have started in 1988, this place still hasan old world charm on the inside. With a rustic interior time seems to stand still here. But the ambience and service weregreat. For a Sunday lunch we did not expect much, but there were quite a few tables occupied. Speaks volumes of the popularityof the place. My wife had the glazed maple and pecan salmon which, she said, was an absolute treat. If I rated this place 4stars it was only becuase my dish fell short. I ordered the Asiago Chicken. This penne pasta was supposed to have creamy Asiagosauce. But what I got was a very watery Asiago sauce that had way too many sundried tomatoes. The only bad spot in, anotherwise, good restaurant experience. I am sure this must have been an aberration. So next time we visit Cobourg, we have tovisit this place again to rectify my rating.
