Pros: The hotel is a quaint and fun historical building with lots of old-fashioned charm. The staff were very friendly, and the... room was clean. The location is great, right on the main downtown street with easy access to lots of different stores andrestaurants within walking distance. Cons: The mattress in the room was very firm and springy; it hurt our backs a lot tosleep there for the night, and my husband and I were woken up pretty much every time one of us moved at all because of how muchthe springs in the mattress transferred motion. The restaurant/bar of the hotel was underneath our room as well, and there islittle in the way of noise reduction in this old building, so in order to get to sleep I had to wear the earplugs they provided.However, by 7 the next morning, my ears were hurting very badly as a result. Summary: it's a really cool and unique place tostay and I loved the history of it; but don't sleep here if you don't enjoy firm mattresses and wearing earplugs all night toblock noise. Read more
Wonderful hotel! My partner and I stayed for one night. The rooms are western style, they are very clean and pretty. The bed is... so comfy! We had a great night of sleep. The hotel is calm, you just fall asleep so easily. The towels had a very nice andsubtle fragrance, I loved it! The shared shower and toilet are very clean as well. The place to stay!
