Food was excellent. Chef was very entertaining. Not crowded. Was seated at reservation time. No delays.

I went there as I was wanting sushi only to discover even though Sushi is in the name of the Restaraunt it is not a food they... serve. I said no worries. Bring me a NY Strip steak. So, after twenty minutes of waiting they bought me a salad and soup whichwas decent. They started their presentation with rice and vegetables and then cut the steak up into small chunks of incrediblytasteless meat. I ate about 5 bites and decided that was all I needed. The cook wanted me to catch a shrimp with my mouth andI declined. I wasted $40.00 and an hour of my time. Read more

Very nice chain restaurant. You have a choice of sitting at a sushi bar, a regular table or a table with a built-in grill. At... the regular table or the sushi bar, your dining process begins as soon as you are seated. But the true Sakura experience issitting at the table with the built-in grill and having your meal prepared right in front of your party. Then the food prep is aperformance experience. If you have a party of eight or ten, you can start the experience right away. If you have a smallerparty, they may want you to wait until there are enough patrons to fill all or most of the seats. After your orders are takenand the drinks, soup and salad courses are served, your chef will come to your table and start preparing the entrée. He willstart by grilling some eggs, adding rice and some oils and spices to make the fried rice. Then he'll put some vegetables andmeats on the grill and start preparing everything that has been ordered at the table. There will be some flames as part of theprep, and there's a volcano made from an onion. At the end of the food prep show, the grill is cleaned. It's an interestingprocess. I have included lots of pictures. I probably should have just taken a video, but the customer is eating during the foodprep performance. I was eating during the food prep performance. I had onion soup, a mild, tasty broth with a few choppedscallions. The salad and the rest of the meal was tasty, but not excellent. Still, the whole dining experience was pleasant andworth the price. This is a good place to bring children. The children at our table, and the kids at the tables near us, seemedto be enjoying the show put on by the chefs at each table. Read more

My rating is a bit optimistic and instead I would give this place a '3.75'. I thought the main entree was solid but the soup and... salad were lackluster. Soup had little to no flavor and I wasn't given a choice on the salad dressing (dressing tasted waterdown?). I don't expect a meal from a Japanese steakhouse to be cheap but I do expect more if I'm paying roughly $30 for a meal. Read more

I had a wonderful time, the food was absolutely perfectly cooked, delicious and the experience of seeing it cooked with flair... right in front of us was so much fun! Our cook said he'd been doing it for about 16 years, and was quite fun to watch, flippingeggs around without breaking them, making an onion volcano and other fun stuff. My favorite, at the end of the meal "test" timeduring which he flipped little bits of shrimp to the willing guests to catch in their mouths (Got mine on the second try). I hadfilet and scallops, with a side of shrimp, and the meal came with a lovely salad, soup and fresh made fried rice too. Great mealand alot of fun! Read more
