We ordered two apps, fried okra and portabella mushrooms (to die for). I had the crispy chicken salad with the house made ranch,... amazing! Husband had the hand battered chicken fried steak, which was HUGE, thick cut and actually had seasoned batter unlike alot of restaurants. Mashed potatoes still had some skin in it which we love and tastes so homemade! Needless to say we aremiserably stuffed now! Very generous portions! Read more

Five stars? You bet your boots bud. Located on a mostly deserted, architecturally beautiful old downtown street is a place you... don't find too often here in the Midwest or anywhere for that matter. Friendly staff, killer food at super reasonable prices. How about a 14 oz ribeye, baked potato, corn, house salad and in-house made roll that is to die for, all for $26.75 (marketprice). My son had a great pulled pork sand with fresh cut fries on you guessed it, house made bun. Nice selection of micros ontap as well. If you find yourself in this corner of the state, I couldn't recommend this spot more! Read more

Will never eat there again. The young lady behind bar told the day's special. She said 7" and salad, Sounded good to my... husband. I am gluten free so I had little to choose from. I ordered the 8 oz. Steak salad on mixed bed of greens. My husbandordered special, waitress asked "barbecue, hot, or honey mustard" ? Hum odd chose for 7 " pizza but my husband just rolledwith it and said hot. She asked what salad dressing would he like, blue cheese. She stated it comes with a side, would you liketater tots, fries or onion rings? He replied onion rings. We both had no clue what she was going to serve him, so we thoughtmaybe she meant 7 piece hot wings..made since. Food was served my, 8 oz steak cut in tiny bits (not 8 oz) on a bed oficeberg, no mixed greens to be found . Husband received a pulled pork sandwich with a side of onion rings and blue cheesedressing. What was he suppose to use the dressing for? So I asked the waitress, I thought you said today's special was 7 " withsalad, she laughed said I had my days wrong that was Wednesday special but she never informed us on the change before or duringorder, it was Friday so I guess the special was pulled pork with a side and salad dressing, mind you no salad. We neverreceived a refill on our water nor was asked if we would like a refill. Needless to say never again. First and last time to evereat at the Yoke. Read more
