Menu for Great Blue Heron Restaurant-Events-Catering in Cold Spring, MN

We LOVE blue heron supper club! A few years ago my Brother and sister in law had them cater for their wedding well, 3 years and... 10 days later we chose them for our special day!!! Such great caterers, the food was above and beyond amazing, (we will begetting compliments for years to come, that I?m sure of!) and Paul was so easy to work with! Very good small town restaurant. Good salad bar, very good sea food. Prices seem a little high for the area but the food is... GOOD! If you like the Blue Heron check out Ackies PI in Freeport, very similar menu. YUMMM! Read more

Tuesday evening had the chicken buffet at blue heron for the first time the food & everything was good but the waiter to save... time & energy brought a filled water pitcher from another table on the right side of my table, where the fresh beverages comefrom the left side by the bar & kitchen, after stopping at that table who was finishing instead of getting a new one, I didn?tmention anything since I didn?t want to make a big deal & I assumed the other table didn?t use it but now this morning I have asore throut & I know it can only be from that one used water pitcher brought from an older parties table (which are only moreacceptable to getting & being ????) plus I heard the manager on the way out ask if the SA (supplied air) was turned back on yet,who honestly especially a business turns it off!? I can?t help but assume in the small town of Cold Spring that was a possiblecomment referring to a resolves incident & would be a form community policing by mention the incident. Read more

We used The Great Blue Heron to cater our wedding. As the owner of an events space, I was extremely concerned about the quality... and execution of each service we chose to use at our wedding hosted in our family's yard on Lake Koronis. We were especiallyparticular on the catering company. After interviewing, taste testing and proposal reviewing, it was clear that we should useBlue Heron. Paul and the Blue Heron ended up surpassing our high expectations and standards. Not only did he and they workclosely with us to help execute every detail but they took on our special requests of using some of our own products, materialsand ingredients to help make the day more special for us and our guests. On the day of our wedding we experienced torrentialrain (and the reception was outside in a tent). Paul and his team delivered our meal to our guests with flawless execution andwith a smile on their face even though their prep space was mud-filled, wet, cold and very much less than ideal.
