Excellent food with a lot to choose from. Our sever, Kristin, was amazing. The atmosphere was nice. The GNOCCHI PARISIENNE... was delicious and we loved the baked Alaska. Read more
So loved this place! The decor is fabulous, the servers were super friendly and efficient AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!\nWe just... got back from Cap Ferret in France, where the oysters come right out of the water, and we didn’t really think that arestaurant in Canada could beat that experience, but we were wrong!!!\nWay to go Poppy’s! I swear they were tastier than theones we ate in France!\nAnd the Shrimp, and the Steak Frites! Shall I go on? The Beetroot starter was also very pretty andtasty. My husband tried their new twist on a Caesar Salad. It was tangy and delicious. Bravo! All I can say is WOW! Poppy’s was absolutely outstanding! I attended with a large group and the servers never skipped a beat.... The fast and prompt service blew us away. The decor and atmosphere here is unmatched, I felt like I was back in France. I hadfresh oysters and the mussels with white wine sauce which I HIGHLY recommend, for the main course I had the Steak Frites thatwas cooked to perfection. What a delightful evening. We felt like we were in Paris without the hassle of YYZ and CDG. The Bistro is decorated beautifully ... in french blues with a mix of old world chandeliers and modern touches. Lots of windows that overlook the outdoor spaciouspatio. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server had our meal timed perfectly. Food and presentation was amazing. Lotsof blueberries and raspberries accompanied my roasted beet salad and confit duck. The best treat was our chocolate tart. Not toosweet but slow melt in your mouth fun! She regularly checked on... how we were doing but didn\'t make us feel rushed to pick our orders. Was consistently asking how everything was too.
