We saw the veteran-owned sign on the door, and as fellow vets we were glad to support this business. The man with the scruffy... beard at the counter seemed annoyed that we disrupted his phone scrolling. He didn't greet us or smile at all, just silentlystood there waiting for us to decide what we wanted. We ate inside the restaurant, which was clean. The burgers and fries werereally delicious. Since we didn't feel welcome, we probably won't go back. It doesn't matter how good your food is if you're notgoing to appreciate the people supporting your business. Really good! Better then Five Guys! First time eating here and my expectations were blown. The food was amazing and big... portions too. I ordered a double cheese burger and fry and couldn't finish the burger. The restaurant was clean and wellmanaged. My only complaint is that the seats were a little small. I teetered from 2 stars to 3 stars because their food is great. They are usually quite busy because of this! It was my... boyfriend's birthday and he loves their food. I made a reservation since we wouldn't get a table otherwise (with a $115 deposit,$25 non-refundable) for 9 people. Gratuity of 18% was added to our final bill, the $90 refundable deposit was not taken off thebill (apparently it was supposed to be but I assumed I would get it back after the day we dined) and we paid $100 cash towardsthe final bill. At the time of paying we specifically said to take the $100 off and charge the rest to my card. Rather, thewaitress took the $100 cash and charged my card for the entire balance. I contacted management later and he said "ok no problemI'll refund you once I find your receipt". He found it, and refunded the $90 that was supposed to be refunded anyway. Aftergoing back and forth, and me assuming he didn't understand, he basically told me "too bad" about the other $100. I don't knowabout you but $100 is a lot of money to me and I ended up paying over $350 for the dinner. I will NEVER go back to MAD COW EVERAGAIN. For management to have absolutely zero regard for a customer is astonishing to say the least. I wish that wasn't thecase, but I refuse to ever go back. The music was also so extremely loud I couldn't hear the people right next to me (insideseating). That was also the case the last time I ate there (outside seating - at the edge of the restaurant). Definitely a great choice in burger spots in Columbia, Missouri. The food was hot and fresh and made to order! Juicy burgers and... hot fries. Absolutely delicious. Came all the way from San Antonio, Texas and would definitely visit again. Read more
