Just dropped in for some home cooking while passing through town. Food was a bit salty for my taste. I ordered the parm wings... and philly cheese fries. If the ranch was homemade that would have bumped the it to a five star. Over all food was great andthe folks there very kind. Read more
My husband and I never usually make it into town before evening, so we thought we'd give this place a try when we had the... chance. First, I called and was told that phone orders could only be paid with Cash app. The lady said it so quickly that I hadto ask her to repeat it a few times and she seemed to get annoyed, but verified we could use a credit card in person. As wedon't have the app installed and our phone internet is spotty around town, in-person it was. We arrived at 5 PM on the dot onlyto find that the restaurant had closed. We managed to get signal and checked Google and their official website--closing time of5:30. The lady on the phone never once mentioned they would be closing early. Just had a religious experience eating at this place. Got a sampler box and it was some of the best food I?ve had all year. TONS... of flavor going on over here. The wings were not over sauced and had plenty of seasoning in whatever they were dredged in.Shrimp were buttery and well seasoned and had a great texture to them, no lame little frozen shrimp over here like you get atsome supposed seafood places around here. Fries were crisp and well seasoned as well. Saved the catfish for last because man...I knew when I opened the box I was in for a treat. No off fishy type tastes at all... texture was awesome... man. Walked in to the lady behind the counter demanding I put on a mask, which I didn?t have. I told her Columbia doesn?t have a mask... mandate anymore to which she replied, ?we have a mask mandate in here.? But neither her or the cook had masks on?? I pointed outtheir lack of masks and she said employees didn?t have to wear masks?.. I then informed her I was fully vaccinated and she saidshe didn?t care mask or leave. So I choose to leave. Fully vaccinated customers have to wear masks, but employees taking moneyand cooking food don?t. This is literally the twilight zone folks. Read more
