First, let me say McAlister's is one of my favorite restaurants. Still is. So this 1 star rating is just for this location, not... the entire chain. We came in today and only noticed a few tables open. Not because people were sitting at them but becausemost tables had dirty plates on them. We were third in line, but it took 15 minutes to finally reach the counter. When we gotour food, my sandwich (sweet and smoky chicken) looked like 2 pieces of bread with nothing in it. When I opened it up, Iimmediately called the server back. I kid you not, there was only a thin single row of chicken chunks along the cut side of thebread. 75% of the one half of sandwich had no chicken on it! The server wanted to take my whole plate back, but I simply askedher to just put the chicken in a cup and I can add it the bread. She left but then came back asking to have the plate again. Iam already eating off my broccoli and other half of the sandwich, and asked why she just couldn't bring me the chicken to add tothe bread. She said she needed the whole plate. There's not an issue with the whole plate, just half the sandwich! So I put the bread on a napkin and gave it to her. As I suspected, it was about 10 mins later before I got the sandwich back, whichallowed me to continue eating the rest of my lunch while they were doing whatever to make it right. By the time we left, everysingle table that didn't have patrons was filled with dirty dishes. I watched so many customers take one look and turn aroundand walk out. There is clearly no management at this restaurant. I have progressively watched this particular store go downhill. Next time I'm craving McAlister's, I'll visit one of the other stores around town. I like McAlister's Deli. I gave them 3 stars because the last couple of times I have gotten a little pickle. My order was to go... and I didn't check before I left . Someone thought this was a quality pickle. It wasn't. I order the New Yorker sandwich lookingforward to eating the pickle with it. Read more
The service we received today was awful. Most days we go into the restaurant the service is slow. The restaurant wasn't crowded,... we could just walk in and place our order. Placed an order to go at 3:33 pm, food finally came out and two sandwiches had to beremade; one was not correct and the other the bread was burnt. Wonder why they would serve a sandwich with the bread burnt? Nowit's another 15 -18 minutes into our wait time. One sandwich came up, was on the window and it took another 13 minutes or morefor the second sandwich to come up. Team members could be seen playing around and talking in the prep area. The order wasfinally ready at 4:02 pm. The manager reached out to me and said that orders should be up and out under 8 minutes. I absolutely loved the Savannah salad! We got the half salad half sandwich deal, and it was plenty. I could have made a meal on... just the salad. The lemonade is also very good-just tart enough to refresh. The service was great and the place was clean. Iwill definitely come back! Read more

Mike, the area manager. Super rude. My salad was wrong. I noticed when I returned to work and couldn?t head back over for... replacement. My information was taken when I called. From 2:15 to 6:15, no one got back to me. I called , Mike came on the lineand advised he wouldn?t be issuing a refund because the request for refunds are just getting out of hand. He said he would giveme a salad on the next visit. Well my issue with that is , we are talking about today , not the next visit and I want my moneyback. He refused. Sir I will have my mother bring the salad to you as I have no reason or desire to try and get something fornothing and I do not appreciate him insinuating that?s what was happening. My mom returned the salad that I did not eat becauseit was made incorrectly and I was issued a refund. He?s rude and unprofessional and just not a pleasure to communicate with. Heneeds training.
