Went at 6 pm not much on buffet most was cold and looked like it had been sitting there for hours. They finally brought out... fresh pork chops and mashed potatoes. This was good and hot. Most food was chicken and I'm not a fan, but I did try it beforethey brought out the fresh pork chop. I wouldn't recommend this place as a buffet. May be better if ordered from menu. Read more

We had never been to Shoney's and my husband was excited to try it. One walk around the buffet and I knew we made a mistake.... Congealed gravy, mushy looking veggies, ugh. We decided to order hamburgers. Waitress finally gets to us and takes the order.10 minutes later we're told they don't have hamburger buns. Ok...then when the food finally arrives she got my order wrong andmy husband's meal should've had bacon, nope, and the 2nd hamburger patty was raw uncooked chopmeat. The fries and the soda weregood. My husband and I have always been a fan of Shoneys but NC no longer has any so we decided to take an 1 1/2 hr. Drive to the... nearest one to get a couple of their famous strawberry pies and 3 hot fudge cakes to bring home, yes i had dry ice for the hotfudge cakes and ice packs to keep the pies cool. He had the breakfast buffet and he really enjoyed it a little too much. I had amenu meal which was delicious and cooked as i ordered. All the staff was friendly but Kendrick our waiter, he was super sweetand very polite. We will definitely be making that trip again after all what else u have to do when u have time off together andthe food, environment and people are so friendly. Read more
