What a treat! I love a place that only does a couple of things but does them really well. This is definitely a local joint,... every one seemed to know everyone else and the staff treated us the same. The fish sandwiches are delicious and a hefty size toboot. I ate the whole thing. The only caveat is they don?t have a public restroom, something to do with the building code whenthey opened way back in the day. Anyway, loved it and would eat here again. Read more
I wish I would have known about this restaurant when I lived in Columbus. I came back to visit this summer, and decided to try... it out. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was extremely nice and helpful. They took the time and (went through thetrouble) to call about an ingredient they use for me and got back to me as soon as they could. I really appreciated theirconcern and time. When was the last time you were out to eat and a manager stopped at every table to see if everyone was satisfied. It happened... at Ye Olde Fish House this week, and it was the kind of service that calls you to return. My wife and I had our first lunch atYe Olde Fish House and it was an enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in the door we could tell they were interestedserving us with a smile, even though there were many customers in this small building. As the picture shows, the fish sandwhichis stacked high with fish which provides more fish in each bite, unlike most fastfood restaurants. Others have noted that theydo not use much salt, for which I am grateful. I fully enjoyed my lunch, and I was not thirsty the rest of the day as I am withother "fried" lunches. Adding ketchup and spicy mustard gave the sandwhich a well rounded flavor. We did not try the desserts,but did enjoy the free refill on the drink that came with my meal.
