I ordered catering from Asempe Kitchen for a lunch for 25 people. Everyone raved about the food and folks are already asking me... when I'll be ordering it again. I was initially drawn to the fact that it was a small, local, woman, and minority-ownedbusiness, and was additionally delighted that the food accommodates a host of dietary restrictions--vegan, gluten-free, halal...you name it, Kuukua is able to identify all the ingredients in what she cooks and is sensitive to clients' preferences andneeds. Kuukua is wonderful. She really cares about her clients and wants to make sure they really experience African Culture and... History through her food. Asempe Kitchen is one of my favorite new foodie things in Columbus. Their food is delicious and unique, and they're always... bringing something new to the table (no pun intended). The plantains and red-red are my favorite dishes, but I've never triedsomething there I didn't like. The bread alone is worth the trip.
