This legit might be the worst pad Thai I?ve ever had..and it was $17! When I opened my single carry out box the first thing that... popped into my head was ?this doesn?t look fresh?. It may or may not be, but it did not appear that it was made when I orderedit. It wouldn?t surprise me if they make these portions before hand, box them up, and have them ready for when people order. That?s how it felt, looked, and tasted. When I dumped it out onto a plate, the second half literally kept the form of the box. The noodles were mushy and just a pile of pieces (See photo below) rather than lengths of noodle. Barely any chicken for being?chicken pad Thai? either. Overall, I honestly feel ripped off. (Keeping my fingers crossed I don?t get food poisoning????????). Read more

entire meal feels, tastes and looks like it has been microwaved. mushy Pad Thai noodles, and I know now why the shrimp fried... rice was B1G1: literally only 6 shrunken shrimp in two whole cartons. Read more

Basil Thai Cafe Clintonville is located within Buddha Bowl Cafe Clintonville but that fact will not be obvious to anyone who is... walking past 2973 N. High St. and is looking at the large sign above the front door of Buddha Bowl Cafe Clintonville. It hadrequired a lot of research, including an in-person visit to Buddha Bowl Cafe Clintonville at 2973 N. High St. [during which Ihad asked the woman behind the counter about Basil Thai Cafe Clintonville], before I had been able to learn that well-hiddenfact. I have eaten at several different Basil Thai Cafe restaurants during the past several years; all of them, sadly, haveclosed. The only remaining vestige of Basil Thai Cafe of which I am aware is that Buddha Bowl Cafe Clintonville reportedly sellstheir food but only if you know to ask for it. I remember attempting to visit the "Brewery District" location of Basil ThaiCafe several months ago [since Google Maps had described that location as "open"] but finding an unlocked-and-mostly-emptybuilding with a few construction workers inside. I briefly entered the building, took a photograph of their completely-emptyformer dining room, posted that photograph to Google Maps, and then reported to Google Maps that that location hadclosed. Several months later, while attempting to confirm -- "on-line" -- that the "Upper Arlington" location of Basil ThaiCafe had indeed closed, I just happened to find a website for Basil Thai Cafe Clintonville -- supposedly at 2973 N. High St. butwith a wrong Zip Code -- as a possible remaining location of Basil Thai Cafe. There had been no "Google Maps" photographs ofthat location that would corroborate the notion that there is a Basil Thai Cafe at that that location yet their listed "hours ofoperation" had reportedly been "updated by this business 8 weeks ago" [which had led me to believe that perhaps they are indeedopen]. So I visited 2973 N. High St. yesterday [8-15-2022] not knowing exactly what I would find. If you plan to e Read more

The worst Pad see ew I have ever had in my life. It was burnt, the sauce was thick and disgusting, the beef was burnt and dry. I... had the order delivered and as soon as I opened the bag I could smell the burnt sauce and knew that it was going to be bad. Thenoodles were so dark they almost looked black, when the dish is usually a light to medium brown color because of the brownsauce. I took two bites of it and couldn't eat any more than that before depositing it in the trash. I also ordered potstickers which were again, some of the worst I've ever had. The dough seemed undercooked and the filling was both flavorless andgross at the same time. Those also went into the rubbish bin. The saving grace was the chicken satay which was excellent. Butnot enough to make up for the rest of the food being so horrible. Which is really disappointing because I have been craving Padsee ew for so long. Read more
