So this will be a long one... Short answer is this place is very good. The carrot/chocolate cake are the best thing on the... menu full stop and in addition the best value. We had the 8 ounce filet and 16 ounce bison rib eye. The bison was very good, but didn't have any complexity that warranted the price tag. The filet was as soft as butter, but cooked inconsistently. Halfwas medium half was rare. We didn't mention it as we were (you guessed it) hallway done with the filet before we noticed. Thesides pictured are the jalapeno potatoes that I had read reviews about in the past and the tempura green beans. The green beanswere incredible, but the potatoes were disappointing at best. They were cheesy, tasted of jalapenos, but the potato was barelypresent and the flavors weren't homogenous. Additionally when I've had any version of scalloped potatoes in the past they'vealways been broiled to a degree and that was not the case with ours. The crab bisque, charcuterie board, and crab cakes were todie for. Lastly the floor under our table had old food under it, which was just a bad touch. Ultimately a good experience, butthere were some things missing on the quality vs price that left us feeling 5 stars wouldn't be accurate. Service wasoutstanding, and I can't say enough great things about Max! Read more

I would give no stars if possible. A few colleagues and I went out for what we hoped would be a nice meal. Our server, Josh did... not want to wait on us in the beginning. He commented to the host before we were seated. Before placing our order, he proceededto tell us the kitchen would close in 15 minutes. I asked his recommendation on wine but I did not want a dry wine. I orderedwhat he suggested. Once we ordered and salads were delivered, the salad order was not correct. We then proceeded to let thewaiter know if the mistake in which he then argued with one of my colleagues. He told us he didn’t make mistakes because hehad It written down. He then huffed at another colleague because she wanted to order a salad as well. My wine came and It wasdry after clearly stating I didn’t want dry wine. I then ordered a Cherry Vodka Sour. Instead of telling me his bartendersdidn’t know how to make It, they concocted some mixture. When It was brought to the table, we mentioned that It should havegrenadine in the drink in which It did not. Josh then snatched It from the table and took It around the corner to “addgrenadine”. We were sitting at a table at the bar, but he went somewhere else. To top things off, he ran my card for my bill, brought our checks back but did not give me mine, “corrected” his charges, charged me more, and ran my card a second time. When questioned he told me the only way to correct this issue was to run my card again. Absolutely NOT! I do NOT recommend thisrestaurant because of the service. They were not short staffed so there was no excuse. Training on proper service is definitelyneeded. I will be contacting my bank to deny charges and a reimbursement will be made. By far the worst experience to ruin ournight. Read more

If you are keeping up with my post you’ll notice that we did a lot of dining out over my birthday weekend. We hadn’t been to... this place in a number of years and honestly I can’t exactly remember why we stopped coming. The food is still as good as Iremember the service is always great and the drinks, although a little pricey are not too shabby. I got the lavender lemonade,it was delicious. I opted for the medallions. I wanna thank our server for letting us know that they do have some off the menuitems and although I wanted to indulge and go for the crab legs, the market price for them was a bit steep and I can always justmake some at home. For an upscale option in the Polaris area, Eddie Merlot would be a place to go. Read more

We had such a good time here for our anniversary. We made last minute reservations online that day and they got us in right when... they opened. They gave us a little card to celebrate our day. The steaks were fantastic. The flavor and tenderness was spot on,and I'm not a huge steak fan either, like I usually do chicken at steak houses, but this was just so good. We will definitely goback. We got the sweet potatoe casserole which was so tasty, it could have been a dessert. We also got some mac n cheese, whichis amazing. The sides could feed about 2 or 3 people, so we split. We also got some bread tbat they brought our before our food, and my goodness, it was amazing. It had a crispy outer layer and a nice fluffy warm middle. So good. The crem burlee (spelling?)was the best thing ever! We ate every last bite. A huge shout out to our waiter, Tony, he did an amazing job! Attentive andthoughtful. Will definitely go back and have already recommended it to people. Read more

Service is great and restaurant is posh inside but food is not worth the money. They don't know how to cook a steak right. This... isn't the first nice steakhouse where I've sent a steak back for being improperly cooked. My steak came pretty much burnt on theoutside and it had some very rare parts on the inside. I had them put it back on the grill and when they brought it back it wasokay on the inside but really burnt on the outside. My steak cost me $99 btw. What a disappointment. Also it was sort of dry andnot as soft as I usually expect from prime steak. Certainly nothing like I make at home. You gotta keep basting that steak withmelted garlic thyme butter and cover it up with something while it's cooking so the steam keeps it moist. Also reduce heat aftersearing so that it doesn't dry out...very important. Charcuterie board was poor....looked like a prepackaged one from a grocerystore. Trust me I've had some amazing Charcuterie boards. They usually come with french bread or bruschetta and not pita andthey usually come with fig jelly not honey and they usually have a better selection of meats and cheeses. Salad was average....not what I would expect from a restaurant like this. Honestly there wasn't a single thing at this restaurant that I haven't hada better version of for less than half the price. If you have this kind of money to spend go to Refectory or Barcelona. Read more
