On August 22, a small but enthusiastic band of writers met at the New Tradition Brewing Company for a session of writing and... literary discussions, plus a tour of the brewery. Our ?writing social? soon turned into an afternoon of insights and informationon the magical world of brewing beer, plus sampling the best beers I?ve ever had, including a newly born marvel fresh from thetank in the back. Big kudos to Brenden, the amazing owner of New Tradition and his creative genius of a brew master, Tyler, fortaking the time to educate us and for making us feel so welcome! I think New Tradition Brewing Company is the benchmark for BCMicrobreweries and should be on everyone?s ?must visit? list. Read more

We?ve tried a few craft breweries on our visit, but were driving around today looking for a place where we could have a pint and... bring our pup. I really think there ought to be more dog friendly patios in this region! It?s standard elsewhere, but seems tobe less so here (probably to do with food/table service?). Anyway, we ended up at New Tradition and the beer was terrific. Thestaff were SO welcoming, friendly and helpful. Pete the pup had a great time too. Puppy snacks and and a cool, shady snooze!
