This place is beautiful and sets a vibe that is much needed in Compton. There is a lot to see, do, and eat so take your time.... The artwork on the walls is stunning and you can get lost just looking around and taking pictures. Okay, let's get intoit: GOOD: Ambiance, customer service, speedy delivery of food, the Juice Trap juices, the variety of cultural and culinaryoptions. Yes, they do sell shoes and other merchandise, but they also have space for community events. And while shoes may notbe vegan, I appreciate their efforts to build a space for real cooperative economics. BAD: The menu is expansive (and not verybudget friendly) with plenty of options, but can be a bit deceiving. Almost everything has an actual meat name in the titles,but are mostly variations of fried mushrooms. Do Vegans really need to think they are having lobster? At one point I couldn'ttell if some of the protein options were actually meat or not, so a little clarity might help. Especially for folks withallergies. I tried the Cauliflower and Fries. The food was too hot to enjoy for a few minutes and by the time I could eat it,the breading was a bit soggy. I would have liked to also had bigger portions of hot sauce and ketchup. Found a new 100% Vegan Black Owned spot in my City Compton Ca., I had the Lobster Roll, Delicious, Salad, Strawberry Cheesecake,... and Cucumber Pineapple Mint Beverage that was to die for. Not only do they serve food they have a room for Dr. Sebi products ,A room with The lastest Sneakers, 100% vegan cakes and Pies, and also has a Performance Room with a stage, surround video! Love love this place and definitely will be back. Today was my First time trying this place I came 30 min before closing and the... owner was so nice and welcoming. Our food was fresh and delicious I was truly amazed at the lobster roll that kale hit like mygrandmas greens so much food for the price ! The ?lobster ?was tender juicy and flavorful .The flavors are bomb! I ordered theblvd burger chili cheese fries and a fish taco let me tell you the flavor just pop reminds me of of home cooked soul food ? Theart and scenery in the building is truly beautiful.
