We had our rehearsal dinner catered by Johnny Rogers and it was fantastic! They may not have tacos on the menu but man did they... come through! Everyone raved about them! They delivered, setup the food slightly before the rehersal started and we were able tomove directly to eating when we were done! The food was phenomenal! And service couldn?t have been better. My family and I had been looking forward to trying Johnny Roger?s for awhile based on all the glowing reviews that it has... received. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the G.O.A.T. burger, the Juicy Lucille burger, and barbecue.Although the hamburgers tasted good, both were way over cooked and dried out, to the point that the meat was a grey color. Thebuns fell apart and were inedible. The Juicy Lucille, which according to the description on their website is ?cheese stuffed?had zero cheese inside. I paid $2 extra for cheese fries and there was only a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on it. I had to addmore cheese when I got home. The barbecue was mediocre and dried out as well. This was our first time and we will definitely be returning. The kids (5) even loved their food and usually at least one... complains, they even asked to go back before we left the restaurant. I had the candied bacon with goat cheese burger and I havefound my new favorite burger. Thanks for the great food, friendly and fast service, and the delicious food! Read more
Johnny Rodger?s Has absolutely amazing food!!!! The owners are VERY involved and make sure everything is ALWAYS 5 star!!! There... is a passion here that is missing in a lot of places today. The owners should go into business showing other restaurants how totreat customers and their community! Do some research and you will see they are always helping the community from paying offCCS lunch deficit to helping out with catering many community events! Daughter and I stopped here after reading the reviews for lunch while visiting Charlotte. Delicious. I had to try the GOAT... burger - my daughter asked, "is that really goat?" LOL. It is not (although I've had goat before and it was good). The frieswere perfection! The way I like them. Not greasy. Light, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The GOAT burger was perfectlycooked, just a little over medium but not well done. The bacon was crispy. Not greasy and very tasty. The goat cheese addedto the sweetness of the bacon. I will definitely have again. Daughter had a plain hamburger and the mac-and-cheese which wasvery very good - lots of cheese. The staff was welcoming and patient on our first visit. Our burgers came out pretty quick andthey refilled our drinks for us quickly. We will be back when passing through. Read more
