I was REALLY looking forward to dining here after reading all of the promising reviews. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my... mom's birthday because I wanted to make it extra special for her. The Spicy Prawns appy was the highlight of the evening. Theprawns were perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious! Sadly, the 3 entrees that we ordered were just average. The chickenparm was overcooked, so the chicken was dry. The meatballs (in the spaghetti with meatballs) were really mushy. Furthermore, thespaghetti noodles were broken into small bits. We also ordered a strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was nothing special. Ittasted like sponge cake with strawberry jam. Overall, I was disappointed with our dining experience. I must say, I was kicking myself for a long time after I discovered Cuckoo. My wife and I travel the island annually and always... stop by but unfortunately didn't stop in until 2 years ago. Nevertheless, we've never looked back. This is a must visit on yourtrip to the area. The restaurant has a muted elegant atmosphere that is not overbearing and very relaxing. The food isabsolutely divine. Fresh ingredients, authentic Italian taste, and great portions. On top of it all, the services has alwaysbeen stellar. My wife has several dietary restrictions and the staff have always been incredibly accommodating and helpful inhelping us find options. Again, I emphasize that this should be on your list of places to visit. You shan't be disappointed. Read more

Lovely Italian Restaurant at Coombs. The atmosphere is great. The inside is really lovely and the outside is very romantic. We... went with a group of 7 ladies on a Saturday night and we're started immediately. The service was great. We ended up doing thefamily style dinner with two salads, two pastas and two pizzas. The salads and pastas were great. The pizzas were only meh, thebottoms of the pizza were soggy and very hard to eat. We also ended up ordering the $5 desert share plate which was nice. Top tobottom our experience was lovely. We ended up closing down the restaurant and at no point did we feel pushed out of therestaurant. I would say the atmosphere is the best part of this restaurant. It's stunning. I would highly recommend for aromantic dinner. Read more

Phenomenal Italian cuisine! Excellent, experienced and knowledgeable servers. Beautiful flavours and presentation. The pastas... are perfection! Be warned that despite the size, It is very busy and you should prepare for a wait. The kitchen is quickthough, so I doubt you'll wait long. The perfection of the culinary is shown in the price, but it's fair for what you get. Thedrink prices, especially the one price wine, are reasonable. A gem in the middle of no where. Nice family friendly restaurant. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and just shared. The... mushroom sauce was addicting (came with the mushrooms and scallops dish, and the focaccia bread). The ambiance was classy yetcomfortable. Our server Andrea was great! Read more
