Amazing restaurant right on the water with every table giving you a phenomenal view and ambiance as you savor every delicious... bite of carefully crafted food and drink. The staff is impeccably friendly and hospitable. We started by ordering old fashions, brandy sweet for my husband and bourbon sweet for me. The bartender was spot on from muddling cherries and oranges, toconsistency and balance of the liquor and bitters. We then, had the shrimp toast appetizer which was chock full of plump, tasty, well seasoned tiger shrimp on fresh pretzel bread complimented with a mustard butter. We then shared the bacon wrapped whitefishand pork tenderloin chateubriand. Both entrees were delicious, perfectly prepared culinary experiences, although we both agreedthe whitefish edged out for the top spot. The grand finale was the apple bread pudding with maple nut ice cream and carameldrizzle, can?t think of a better way to conclude a full day of the UP and leaf scouting! Read more

An absolute jewel in Copper Harbor. The menu is authentic German, the service is stellar, and the food is incredible. I had... the Schnitzel - but they had everything you would ask for to eat at a fine dining restaurant. The deserts here are where theyreally step out - we had the Carrot Cake, but the Bread Pudding was very tempting. Cannot say it enough about the quality ofthe service - the people are friendly, attentive, and make you feel a true part of the family that are eating with them at theirkitchen table. It is the best place in Copper Harbor. Read more

What a surprise to find a German restaurant in this area. I was worried that because they also did a full menu of other items... they may not hit the traditional flavors that one seeks from a German restaurant. My worries were obviously in vein because theynailed it. Each menu item was carefully thought out and made from fresh ingredients. We both had the jägerschnitzel, spätzle, fresh vegetables, and a side of sauerkraut. It was very well done, perfect breading, wonderful mushroom gravy and huge portions. The number of German dishes on the menu were limited, which is understandable given the location and difficulty of keeping someof those recipes on hand in even the busiest of places, not to mention they were doing amazing things with their other disheswhich were no small order. They had an awesome selection of German beers both draft and bottled. The staff was amazingly niceand knowledgeable, especially on the German side of things. The views cannot be beat and the area is beautiful with friendlypeople at every turn. It is well worth your time to stop by for dinner if you find yourself in the area, or make a trip just forthis great place. Read more

There are two kinds of restaurants on the water, the fisher/boater dive and the fine dining. Harbor Haus is the latter. And fine... it is! They serve a signature whitefish dish that will have you wondering how they make a piece of relatively bland fish into anexquisite steak. Outside dining looking out on Lake Superior, try the apple bread and maple ice cream for dessert. The coffeecould be better.. Service was impeccable. Read more
