It has been several years since I went to Shogun specifically for sushi. They remodeled the entire sushi bar area, and the new... design is beautiful, warm, and modern. We ordered a few roles, and none of them matched the description (photos on the menu). Ihonestly didn't even notice because I am always hungry and want to eat my food. Apparently, avocado was missing, and I talked toour waiters (Brian, who was amazing, by the way), and he said they can prepare new roles for us or take those items off thebill. I really liked their customer service and willingness to address the problem. I will definitely go back. They are prettyconsistent with the quality of their food and care about their customers. We celebrated my granddaughters 17th birthday here.. the food was AAH-MAZING (this was my order..Caliente roll, Mexican Spicy... roll, Crunchy roll, teriyaki chicken w/all the veggies ????, ginger salad, Spicy edamame, tofu soup (I think he said it's miso)and fried rice.) We?re visiting from out of town and chose this place for dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn?t terribly busy. Which was great.... We were seated right away. But then it took anyone a really long time to greet us at our table. 3 different servers came up andasked us if our server had been over yet. One of them even took our drink order but never brought them to us. So finally ourserver greets us and says how sorry she was she got caught up with another table blah blah blah. Honestly I could care less, butno need to for any excuses. I simply said no worries and continued to give her not only our drink orders but also food orders,because it had been that long that we had waited. She finally starts bringing out our food one by one. Everything was good.Typical food and taste for this type of place. But her service was so slow we had to wait 3 separate times to flag her down formore water. At one point I contemplated getting up and just getting it myself. She took for ever to bring the bill. Shocker. Iliterally shoved my card at her so I didn?t waste anymore time. We were just so ready to leave at that point. Long storyshort. Horrible service. Decent food. Would I go back? Excellent choice for a quick business lunch or for those days when you?re trying to spend a little more on yourself without... having to go out of town or make reservations. I ate all the food before I even remembered to take a photo! So there?sthat. The garlic noodle was strong and the steak was great but the sauces were OK. This spot is out of the way so thewaitstaff seemed almost distracted that day but I went for the food, so we?ll ignore them for now. Worth a try if only toscratch it off your list. Read more
