Lone Star Taqueria is fantastic. The people are great, the food even better. The only challenge is finding a place to park or... sit as it does get crowded. Definitely worth eating here if you haven't already. Read more
Nice little local place. Good atmosphere. Nice straightforward menu, quick service. Service was about as friendly as you could... hope for. We ordered the shrimp tacos, and the carne asada taco meal with a side of chips and guacamole. The chips are made inhouse and are traditional and thick. Guacamole was good, a little spicier than you might think, and chunky. You also have a minisauce bar with pico, and a mild, medium, and hot sauce. One tiny complaint.. the cups for sauce are too tiny, especially fordipping (see reference photo ???? ) The shrimp tacos were pretty solid with the jalapeño mayo to tie it together. I wouldsuggest getting a side of it for whatever you might order. The carne asada was a little dry, and the beans and rice werefine. All in all, decent. I?d stop by again if I had a craving for fish or shrimp tacos and I was in the area, but notnecessarily a place that I would travel out for. Read more
Service was fast. Environment was fun. Tried the shrimp tacos and carne asada tacos. Shrimp was great but the carne asada was... fairly bland and very dry. Guac had a nice kick to it. The drive through was busy the whole time we were there. Seems well lovedbecause of how busy it was. Great location just down from the canyon.
