We enjoyed a great meal there today. The New England clam chowder was creamy and rich. Lobster ravioli was very tasty with an... excellent sauce. Rolls were nice and fresh. We had a great time here. The neon sign pulled us in, but the atmosphere and food is fantastic. Some old school recipes (broiled... fish is excellent). Shrimp dish was very well cooked. I've looked at the pictures and reviews for a long time and haven't been clamoring to go here but I will say I was pleasantly... surprised by the ambiance inside. We were seated right away and our waitress and the bartender were pleasant and friendly. Myhusband and I shared a dozen oysters and wow. I've had lots of raw oysters in my days. These were fresh and large! My husbandhad the fried platter and was pleased but didn't love the bread crumb topping they cook onto the mashed potatoes. Odd choice. Ilove seafood and sushi and have never tried soft shell crab which was a special. You can get it sautéed or fried and I went forsautéed. Unfortunately I really didn't like it! Not the restaurants fault. It was a texture thing where I felt like I waschewing on a fingernail to get to the crab meat. I would love to go back on a Thursday for their $1 oyster and $20 bottle ofpreseco night! Read more

Staff pleasant. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, I did not find out why some say this is the place to go for seafood. I found the... food to be rather bland. Side dishes were cold. I gave the two stars because of the atmosphere and staff. I will not bereturning. Too pricey for food that tastes 'meh'. Will be stopping for a burger elsewhere on the way home. Read more
